About me

Our perception is filtered by upbringing, origin, experiences, and much more – a constant back and forth between what was and what is to come.

I use the canvas as a permanent source to capture moods from moments that elude the mind. Instead of rigid forms, I paint the lines, colors, and feelings I sense within. Thus, each painting becomes a bridge that reminds, inspires, and motivates us.

Hello, my name is Jamal, born in 1983.

I understand the world through enjoyment. I absorb it with all my senses – be it the feel of a rough wall, the cool smoothness of a stone, or the delicate veins of a leaf under my fingers. I have taken in the cold as consciously as the warmth of the sun. Everything around me, sounds, surfaces, light, and situations, is an invitation for me to look deeper and resonate with it.

My mind uses these impressions to create worlds that go beyond visible reality. When the sky was covered with thick clouds and the light in the classroom grew darker, the entire world changed for me. I delved so deeply into my imagination that these places became more vivid for me than reality itself. The light of lanterns still fascinates me today because their shadows open up a completely unique level above everyday reality.

INFLUENCES

Arab World, East Africa, Europe.

My journey through life has allowed me to experience the world of colors from many different angles. From the vibrant colors of the Orient, to the warm earth tones of the East African coast, to the rich colors of the Occident. This path enabled me to experience and understand colors from various light perspectives.

The Longing for Connection.

A Life Philosophy

I believe that experiences don't happen by chance; they are intentional. It's a collection of different reasons that make something happen. If I am ready to understand something, then it appears in my life. My task is to be vigilant and capture these moments.

I feel deeply connected to all of this. In my perception, everything has a desire to unite with something specific:

• Things that want to find each other.

• Colors that search for the right mood.

• Sounds that only fully resonate at the right moment.

I don't just see these connections – I feel and live them. My art is an attempt to make these invisible bonds between humans, nature, and perception tangible.
